Always & forever…
Facebook was their cupid and that first post that got them to meet each other. Just a year after their first meeting on that popular social media network, Susanna and Gabriele had already decided to live together and six months later, to get married.
After making the big decision, they immediately chose a wedding planner, Gloria. Everything after that became quick and easy and it was Gloria who suggested Valle di Badia. Susanna and Gabriele didn’t think twice once they’d seen this wonderful location for the event.
Suprisingly, the official engagement took place afterwards, on New Year’s eve. Just the two of them on the terrace under the stars and the ring (sparkling too and magnificent!), which was already on Susanna’s hand when the two come back inside to see in the New Year. It was clear to everyone that this would be an exceptional year for the couple and that this would be an original couple.
This was true
LOVE FOUND ON THE INTERNET CULMINATES IN A DREAM WEDDING AT VALLE DI BADIA
On the first of June, Susanna and Gabriele got married underneath the arches of our private chapel, St. Michele. They even got dressed at Valle di Badia! Both spouses got ready in the Mugnaio and Garzone appartments and made their way towards the church on foot. Gabriele was impeccable in a smart grey suit and tie. Susanna was magical in a simple dress decorated with lace and crystal and a delicately embroidered veil.
At the entrance to the church the traditional exchange of bouquets took place between Susanna and her mother-in-law to be, then the bride made her entrance with a beautiful bouquet of red roses, symbol of her love for Gabriele.
After an emotional exchange of rings, in line with tradition, with both of the couple kissing the ring before putting it on the other’s hand, the newlyweds make their way outside to the falling of rice and the light falling of rain which didn’t upset the couple in the slightest, or their guests. Susanna got comfortable immediately and donned a pair of All stars sneakers and a denim jacket to show friends and relatives around the various stages of this lively and transformist wedding. The violinist, who had played his instrument movingly during the ceremony, took an electric violin to hand and away with the dancing….and this was only at the aperitif!
The Wedding Book and the place settings were all in Shabby Chic style, which gave the I Granai reception room a fascination all of its own. Careful attention had been payed to every detail from the table decorations, which had been made by hand, to the flower placements with orchids and lavender, to the favours bought from the charity AIRC.
Everything had been planned down to the smallest detail by Gloria and Susanna, even the entertainment: in addition to the music and a photo booth, an artist to draw caricatures of the guests to take home, a childminder for the little ones and even a children’s entertainer on stilts.
Then a Romantic naked wedding cake with the words “Always & Forever” transcribed on top, a phrase chosen by the newlyweds for one of the most important moments of the day: the cutting of the cake and the toast with their guests in the I Granai reception room.
After the splendid evening, Susanna and Gabriele retired to the Mugnaio apartment and had more fun taking romantic photo souvenirs.
They took more photos in London, a month later, when they went around, dressed as on the day of their wedding, to take original portraits of themselves in front of the most famous monuments of the beautiful capital of the United Kingdom.
We were happy to have met Susanna and Gabriele and we’ll definitely not forget them: a couple who met on the Internet and started their wedded life together at Valle de Badia. Heartfelt congratulations to them both and good luck to Susanna who, thanks to the organisation of her wedding, decided to become a wedding planner.
